Michael began his career in Real Estate in 1998 as a Sales Associate and began his work as a Multifamily Investment Agent with a focus on Central and Northern Indiana. Since then he has expanded his focus to include a significant portion of the Midwest. Michael has unparalleled expertise in this region as well as in the representation of a myriad of sellers and buyers, including local and regional private investors, syndicators, REITs and financial institutions.
Cory graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2008 with a degree in Business Management. He joined Michael’s team in the fall of 2008 and is focused on business development, property analysis and valuation, and investor relations.
During Cory’s tenure with Michael, he has closed over $110 million in combined assets.
A 2008 graduate of Indiana University, Zachary brings tremendous leadership and business development experience to the XMark Midwest Team. Zachary started his career in Chicago with Bausch + Lomb, focused on developing and growing the regional vision care market. He then joined Luxottica in Manhattan to help adjust its commercial structure and improve service to the North America market. Zachary most recently served as an Executive at Ossip Optometry and Ossip Real Estate, responsible for acquisitions and business development across 50 retail locations throughout Indiana and Illinois.
With a focus on business development, property valuations, market analysis, research, and investor relations his experience and knowledge allow him to provide clients with unique expertise in developing strategic business plans for multifamily investments.
A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Maria brings a broad range of commercial real estate experience to the Wernke team. She began her real estate marketing career at NAI Olympia Partners where she spent 9.5 years. It was during this time she obtained her Real Estate Sales Persons license. While at CBRE for 1.5 years, her focal point was the Eli Lilly global real estate account. Maria joined Michael’s team in August 2012 focusing on marketing, property evaluation and brokerage administration.
Gabby began her career in Property Management in 2015 starting out with Single Family Homes and expanding to Multi-Family properties. She has experience with Section 8 Housing, Section 42 Housing, and Market Rate Communities. Along with her Property Management experience she has extensive background in Customer Service, Marketing Outlets, Account Management and Human Resources. She joined Michael’s team in December 2018 focusing on Brokerage Administration and Property Management.
